We are very happy to announce that Eugene Swing is starting a dance event for Sunday evenings. We will pilot the event on 4/22 and gage the interest to see how often we will host a dance. So, please come and show your support for local Swing/Lindy Hop.
Every dance night will kick off with a lesson for beginner level dancers or those that just want to brush up. This lesson is included with admission so we encourage more experienced dancers to come help the beginners along. This is generally appreciated by beginning dancers.
Also, do you know the Shim Sham? You probably should! We’ll be taking a break at some point during the dance to break into a line dance that is very popular among Lindy Hoppers all around the world. Don’t worry if you don’t know the steps — it’s easy to pick up and Eugene Swing will be offering a workshop soon for interested dancers.
